Today we got a surprise visit from Leinster rugby representatives! With them, they brought the rabo direct trophy! There was great excitement all round!
In keeping with ‘all things rugby’, we are having fun learning the haka!
In science, we have been learning about the different states of matter-solids, liquids and gases.
We observed that water is special and can be all different states.
We froze water in a rubber glove to make it a solid (ice)
We then melted the water to change it to a liquid
After this, we left the water in the heat, resulting in the water changing into water vapour (GAS).
We enjoyed many activities throughout ‘seachtain na gaeilge’ this year.
Traditional musicians visited and entertained an enthusiastic crowd with some beautiful traditional Irish tunes along with a brush dance performance.
Táimid ag foghlaim ‘Amhrán na gCupán’ Tá an-spoirt againn!
Inniu, bhíomar ag damhsa agus ag canadh ‘Ag cur báistí arís’ sa halla. Bhí an-spoirt againn!
On Friday, we consolidated our fractions work with a fun game of fraction bingo! We were required to find the fraction of a quantity. When an answer appears on our bingo board, it is covered. The first to cover three rows or three columns calls out ‘bingo’. The bingo question generator and boards are found on:
We had fun today celebrating world book day! We enjoyed a quiz, testing our knowledge on story characters, authors and book/film soundtracks! We had fun acting out some of our favourite characters and enjoyed listening to audio stories online! We received book tokens to purchase new books, which came just in time for our class ‘Book Blitz Challenge.’
