Solid, Liquids and Gases

Standard

In science, we have been learning about the different states of matter-solids, liquids and gases.

We observed that water is special and can be all different states.

We froze water in a rubber glove to make it a solid (ice)

We then melted the water to change it to a liquid

After this, we left the water in the heat, resulting in the water changing into water vapour (GAS).

One Point Perspective Art Lesson

Standard

In art, we have been learning to draw landscape scenes with the horizon in the distance, starting from a point known as the ‘vanishing point.’  We then used pastels to colour our drawings resulting in striking landscape drawings.  Well done fourth class!

Fraction Bingo

Standard

On Friday, we consolidated our fractions work with a fun game of fraction bingo! We were required to find the fraction of a quantity. When an answer appears on our bingo board, it is covered. The first to cover three rows or three columns calls out ‘bingo’.  The bingo question generator and boards are found on:

We had fun today celebrating world book day! We enjoyed a quiz, testing our knowledge on story characters, authors and  book/film soundtracks! We had fun acting out some of our favourite characters and enjoyed listening to audio stories online!
