Last week, the children participated in a ‘Design a Door’ competition for charity. All proceeds went to the homeless. The results across the school were amazing! Well done to all!
On Friday, we enjoyed making peppermint cream sweets as a gift to take home! Here is the recipe we used:
1. Add 450g of icing sugar with 4 tablespoons of condensed milk. Mix until you have a smooth paste.
2. Add 1 teaspoon of peppermint essence to the paste and mix.
3. Add 1 teaspoon of green food colouring ( or split in half leaving one half white)
4. Knead and roll out. Make into little balls or cut into shape desired.
5. Put in fridge to harden.
Well done to fourth class who performed ‘Six White Boomers’ for the Christmas concert!

Over the Christmas period, we enjoyed lots of activities.
We created an Advent calendar to count down the days to Christmas. Each day we were required to carry out an act of kindness. We each had an Advent friend who we were especially kind to over the Advent period!
We made candle holders and decorations from clay as Christmas gifts to our loved ones.
We made abstract Christmas tree cards from scraps of leftover paper.
Jessica wrote a fabulous Christmas shape poem.
